| Frequently
Asked Questions...
I
don't like going to the dentist and am worried treatments will hurt?
All our dentists will try and make your visit as
pleasant and enjoyable as possible. For those patients who are particularly
anxious or who require prolonged or advanced treatment they can
be treated, if suitable, under IV sedation, which will mean patients
are fully unconscious when any treatment is taking place.
Can
you do home visits?
Home visits can be arranged for patients who are
unable to attend the practice although certain treatments may not
be possible in the home environment.
How
much will treatments cost?
At your time of consultation your dentist will
give you a plan of treatment and the costs involved.
Do
you offer a payment plan?
Torrington Dental practice is pleased to offer
the Tarka Care Plan, which allows patients to pay a regular payment
to cover check ups and other standard dental care. Two levels of
cover are available and full details are available in reception.
In addition, we offer an interest free credit payment
facility agreed with each patient on an individual basis. You can
ask your dentist at the time of consultation for further details.
Are
you a NHS or private dentist?
We offer both NHS and private treatments although
many treatments are only available on a private basis.
Does
teeth whitening make your teeth sensitive?
Tooth whitening can be a highly effective way of
lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any
of the tooth surfaces. Some temporary sensitivity may be felt.
My
teeth are very crooked but am I too old to have them straightened?
You are never too old to straighten your teeth!
At the dental clinic we offer a full range of treatments including
removable, functional and fixed appliances. We are also able to
offer a 'state of the art' appliance called Inisalign. This is a
system of clear removable appliance, which is barely visible.
