Sabina is our Dental Hygienist.  She qualified as a dental nurse in 1998 and after working in practice for six years went on to train as a Dental Hygienist at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London, where she qualified in 1993.

On moving to Devon, Sabina joined Torrington Dental Practice, where she works closely with our team of dentists and our Dental Health Educator in the prevention and treatment of dental disease.

The hygienist training is centred on the prevention of disease.  She will professionally clean teeth and root surfaces to remove the bacteria and calculus that causes gum disease and educates patients in the best way to keep teeth plaque free and gums healthy.  She can also help with advice on prevention of tooth decay, sensitivity, tooth whitening and the care of dental implants.

Lisa is our Oral health Educator, whose role is to help prevent and control dental disease.

She is a qualified dental nurse who has been with the practice for over eight years and has attained her Dental Nurses Certificate in Oral Health Education.

Lisa regularly visits schools and other groups promoting dental health as well as running clinics in our Preventive Dental Unit.
